This silicone dust boot can be added to the DeWALT DW716 or can replace the factory dust boot on the DeWALT DWS716, to collect the majority of the unbearable amount of dust created by these miter saws.
It's made from 2mm thick silicone for the perfect balance between weight, rigidity, and durability, and works at all but the most extreme compound angles. Installs into the dust port and attaches to the metal or plastic bracket behind the blade. Two sets of holes are pre-punched for mounting to the saw using the factory screws from the plastic bracket on DWS716 & DWS716XPS saws, or to an Inspire Woodcraft REPLACEMENT BRACKET.
Can also be installed on the metal bracket of the DW716 & DW716XPS saws with suitable magnets (not included).

I purchased this for the Dewalt DW706 hoping it would at least make some improvement to the dust situation. It fit the saw like a glove, using some very strong magnets, and I was blown away by its performance. I now have just the slightest amount of dust on the saw body after cutting up multiple lengths of 4x4, and none of the clouds of dust floating around the shop I had before.
I just don't understand why Dewalt don't purchase the rights to your design and retrofit the product to all their saws.
It was a little tricky getting the dust shroud properly placed but it is working fantastic.

This is an awesome product. Works exactly as depicted in the video - had to figure out how to remove the plastic inserts, first since this model doesn't have the metal bracket. The 2 small screw holes were in exactly the right position, which IMHO is better than using magnets anyway.
Thanks for saving me the time and trouble of building an elaborate dust hood which wouldn't have worked as well !
