This silicone dust boot can be added to the DeWALT DW716 or can replace the factory dust boot on the DeWALT DWS716, to collect the majority of the unbearable amount of dust created by these miter saws.

It's made from 2mm thick silicone for the perfect balance between weight, rigidity, and durability, and works at all but the most extreme compound angles. Installs into the dust port and attaches to the metal or plastic bracket behind the blade. Two sets of holes are pre-punched for mounting to the saw using the factory screws from the plastic bracket on DWS716 & DWS716XPS saws, or to an Inspire Woodcraft REPLACEMENT BRACKET.

Can also be installed on the metal bracket of the DW716 & DW716XPS saws with suitable magnets (not included).

A video can be SEEN HERE for further information and installation instructions.

Great product. Fit beautifully and has improved my dust collection quite nicely.

Pleased as punch to have found this site. The silicone dust port works great, but more importantly, I'm all about folks designing, innovating and experimenting on their own. It doesn't get much better than that. Inspire Woodcraft is... inspirational!

Breath Easier!

The zero clearance insert and dust collection fitting weren’t specifically for my older DW706 mighter saw, but with a few adjustments they seem to work well! Much less dust in the air!

Thanks!

Dewalt 716 miter saw dust boot

I had tried multiple attempts at building various hoods to reduce the dust generated from my Dewalt 716 miter saw. Saw a video demonstrating this silicone dust boot on Pinterest. I am extremely pleased/delighted with the performance of this boot! Although not eliminating 100% of the dust generated, (don’t know know of any miter saw out there that does, perhaps a $1,600 Festool might come close) I say this boot it captures 90% plus! Great product, simple to install.

Boot cut

I have a Dewalt DW716 and bought the boot and dust chute with insert. I noticed less dust to clean up, however the first time I made a 45 degree cut the boot was cut. I purchased the Inspire mounting bracket and was disappointed this happened. Can I purchase a replacement boot by itself?

Michael, the boot can absolutely be purchased seperately. In fact, as of right now that is the only way TO purchase it. Regarding the boot being cut while making a 45 degree cut, please reach out to us via email and explain what exactly happened and send some photos, if possible. We have had very few instances of things like this happening and truthfully, it usually comes down to far too much vaccum, or installation error. I would love to help fix this for you though and I can even send you out a new boot so you can give it another try!

Better dust collection! 🥳

I recently purchased the saw that I’ve been eyeing for a couple of years, the DWS16XPS. It actually showed up perfectly calibrated, which is just weird. Anyway, the dust collection was virtually nonexistent with a shop vac attached. There’s nothing wrong with the original setup, it’s designed so you can use all of the saw’s miter and bevel capabilities. I ordered the dust boot first thinking I’d just do my own throat plate, then found this on YouTube. It looked too annoying to try and replicate , so I ordered one too. Run conjunction I think it’s literally as good as you can get for dust collection. I just have the stock plate in my truck for the rare bevel cuts, and you can just fold the boot back on itself for tighter angled cuts 👍🏼
