With a Gen 2 Ultimate Dust Collection Kit installed, the DeWALT DW716 and DWS716 miter saws become the cleanest, most compact saws we've come across yet. And the new Gen 2 updated design makes them more efficient and easier to install, with a sleek factory look, at a significant cost reduction compared to our first-generation kits.

Everything you need for superior dust collection is in this kit, including:

  • Upgraded Dust Collection Boot - Made from 2mm thick silicone for the perfect balance between weight, rigidity, and durability, this silicone dust boot installs behind the blade, into the factory dust port, to collect the majority of the unbearable amount of debris that comes off the back of the blade. Starts collecting dust on contact with material as little as 1/2" thick, won't get in the way of stock, and works at all miter angles.
  • Replacement Bracket - This replaces the factory bracket (rear guard) behind the blade to provide a secure attachment point for the Upgraded Dust Collection Boot (using preinstalled T-10 screws).
  • Gen 2 Zero Clearance Dust Collection Throat Plate - This is what sets our dust collection apart from the rest! The Gen 2 Zero Clearance Dust Collection Throat Plate replaces your factory throat plate and utilizes a shroud that encases the blade, preventing ANY debris from escaping under the saw. The force of air generated by the spinning blade inside the shroud, coupled with the zero-clearance blade opening, forces all the debris out the rear of the throat plate and directly into the Upgraded Dust Collection Boot to be hauled away by your vacuum. Dust Collection Throat Plates are not intended to be used while making bevel cuts!
  • Compact 90-Degree Elbow - Reclaim up to roughly FOUR INCHES of shop space with this compact 90-degree elbow specifically designed to fit DeWALT miter saws with dust ports that measure 1-5/8" outside diameter, like the DWS716 and late-model DW716. (As a convenience, an adapter is included in the DW716 kits for those that may have the early-model 1-1/2" dust ports.) And you don't have to wonder if your vacuum hose will work with this fitting. It will work with 2-1/2" dust collection hose, 2-1/2" shop vacuum style hose (standard-issue hoses that measure roughly 2-1/4" outside diameter), 1-7/8" shop vacuum style hose and Festool 36mm antistatic hose.

Awesome Addition to My Shop

After years of wading through ankle-deep piles of sawdust behind my chop saw, I was intrigued by this design for dust collection. Since my saw lives on a portable stand, I couldn't easily build an elaborate shroud for dedicated dust collection. After installing this system, I was absolutely amazed by its effectiveness! I would guess that this setup, attached to my shop vacuum, probably catches 97% of the sawdust from my chop saw. Truly amazing performance from such a simple design! The term "game changer" is so overused these days, but in this case, it truly applies. This is, without a doubt, one of the best investments I've made in my shop since the track saw. Thank you for such an innovative and effective design! Keep up the good work

Easy install, gobbles the dust

I haven't had a chance to really give it a work out, but I made a few test cuts after the install. I was quite impressed and I'm only using a dedicated small Stanley vac that I have on the shelf underneath the saw. Looking forward to giving it a good workout. Only real issue I discovered was with the throat plate; I had to shave small amounts off the near-end corners to make it fit, as I couldn't line up screw holes otherwise. Minor problem and easily corrected.

TERRIFIC DUST COLLECTION ADDITION!!!

Ok,so I'm reviewing this kit ( Ultimate dust collection kit ) for my Dewalt DWS716XPS

1st: Had a couple questions before buying and my emails were answered promptly and professionally by Jodee
(The owner).

2: Ordering was straight forward, and completed easily.

3: Items arrived very fast considering we're on opposite coasts.

4: After opening package and inspecting, all items were made very well and of good quality.

5: Followed his video and instructions that came with it, I had it all installed in an hour or so. Had to wait for glue to dry on throat plate.

6: Now the best part, tested on some pine scrap with a bunch of 90 and 45 degree cuts, and was impressed with the difference this product made. I would say it extracts 90- 95 percent of dust now compared to not much before install.
I'm only using a cheap, small shopvac
for dust collection and will probably upgrade at some point.
Now I'm just a hobbyists that gets occasional work building stuff so I'm sure this will last a long time.

7: I absolutely recommend this kit and appreciate Jodee's ingenuity developing this product.

Top Notch Design

Wow! I just got my ultimate package for my DW 716 saw. I have a different kit from someone else on my other DW 780 and thus far it has been a POS. This one is really well thought out, really well designed, and all of the parts are very good quality and fit exactly as they’re supposed to. Just got it on my saw, fired it up and cut a bunch of wood and this thing is impressive. Really, really, well done. Just ordered your set up for my DW 780, and if it is half as good as this one, I’ll be really pleased.

Much cleaner!

I checked shop nation but they lost the coin flip.
Doing my first base molding replacement, I had to find something to reduce the dust. I got the kit for my dw716. Good instructions and easy installation. I did take a couple extra minutes with the silicone boot. Working with pvc, the debris was greatly reduced. With the mdf , dust was almost nonexistent. I like my saw now!
