Everything you need for superior dust collection is in this kit, including:

• Upgraded Dust Collection Boot - Made from 2mm thick silicone for the perfect balance between weight, rigidity, and durability, this silicone dust boot installs behind the blade, into the factory dust port, to collect the majority of the unbearable amount of dust created by these miter saws.
• Replacement Bracket - This replaces the factory bracket (guard) behind the blade to provide a secure mounting point for the Upgraded Dust Boot with the included T-10 screws.
• Zero Clearance Dust Collection Throat Plate - This is what sets our dust collection apart from the rest! The Dust Collection Throat Plate replaces your factory throat plate and utilizes a shroud that encases the blade, preventing ANY debris from escaping under the saw. The force of air generated by the spinning blade inside the shroud ejects all the debris out the rear of the throat plate and directly into the Dust Collection Boot to be sucked up by your vacuum. The Dust Collection Throat Plate also uses replaceable zero-clearance inserts that will provide you with a beautiful cut and prevent offcuts from falling into/under the blade. Each throat plate comes with one zero-clearance insert preinstalled, and replacements can be purchased if necessary.
  
• Compact 90-Degree Elbow - Reclaim up to roughly FOUR INCHES of shop space with this compact, smooth, 90-degree dust collection fitting specifically designed to fit on DeWALT miter saws with dust ports that measure 1-5/8" outside diameter, like the DW716 and DWS716. And you don't have to wonder if your vacuum hose will work with this fitting. It will work with 2-1/2" dust collection hose, 2-1/2" shop vacuum style hose (standard-issue hoses that measure roughly 2-1/4" outside diameter), 1-7/8" shop vacuum style hose and Festool 36mm antistatic hose.
  

And you can save a few more dollars by ordering replacement inserts ahead of time! Just chose your model of saw and choose how many inserts you want to include. There is no predetermined life expectancy for inserts as it depends on how often you use your saw and how aggressive you are with it. But having replacement inserts on-hand means that if you change the blade on your saw, you will have a new one to establish a new zero-clearance kerf to match the new blade.
