With a Gen 2 Ultimate Dust Collection Kit installed, the DeWALT DW716 and DWS716 miter saws become the cleanest, most compact saws we've come across yet. And the new Gen 2 updated design makes them more efficient and easier to install, with a sleek factory look, at a significant cost reduction compared to our first-generation kits.
Everything you need for superior dust collection is in this kit, including:
- Upgraded Dust Collection Boot - Made from 2mm thick silicone for the perfect balance between weight, rigidity, and durability, this silicone dust boot installs behind the blade, into the factory dust port, to collect the majority of the unbearable amount of debris that comes off the back of the blade. Starts collecting dust on contact with material as little as 1/2" thick, won't get in the way of stock, and works at all miter angles.
- Replacement Bracket - This replaces the factory bracket (rear guard) behind the blade to provide a secure attachment point for the Upgraded Dust Collection Boot (using preinstalled T-10 screws).

Gen 2 Zero Clearance Dust Collection Throat Plate - This is what sets our dust collection apart from the rest! The Gen 2 Zero Clearance Dust Collection Throat Plate replaces your factory throat plate and utilizes a shroud that encases the blade, preventing ANY debris from escaping under the saw. The force of air generated by the spinning blade inside the shroud, coupled with the zero-clearance blade opening, forces all the debris out the rear of the throat plate and directly into the Upgraded Dust Collection Boot to be hauled away by your vacuum. Dust Collection Throat Plates are not intended to be used while making bevel cuts!
- Compact 90-Degree Elbow - Reclaim up to roughly FOUR INCHES of shop space with this compact 90-degree elbow specifically designed to fit DeWALT miter saws with dust ports that measure 1-5/8" outside diameter, like the DWS716 and late-model DW716. (As a convenience, an adapter is included in the DW716 kits for those that may have the early-model 1-1/2" dust ports.) And you don't have to wonder if your vacuum hose will work with this fitting. It will work with 2-1/2" dust collection hose, 2-1/2" shop vacuum style hose (standard-issue hoses that measure roughly 2-1/4" outside diameter), 1-7/8" shop vacuum style hose and Festool 36mm antistatic hose.

Parts and accessories for other makes/models can be found on our website. PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK THE MODEL NUMBER OF YOUR SAW BEFORE PLACING AN ORDER. Model numbers can be found on the top side of the motor housing.

I ordered Inspires dust collection product for the DeWalt DWS716 Miter Saw. I installed closely following the instructions and things did not work go well as the zero-clearance collection throat was destroyed on the first cut. I immediately sent pictures and asked how they were going to handle. What followed is what makes this company exceptional in its customer service response. It gives great credit to the company. First, their response was immediate, within two hours. They did not apologize, but reassured the quality of the product. Second, they listed a number of possible problems with my saw. This gave me directions that I could check for my saw's problems. These suggestions lead me to a solution that has corrected the problem for better and safer results of my miter saw. Great job Inspire Woodcraft.
The package arrived quickly and it was packaged well. The instructional video was straightforward and installation was easy. The throat plate did not sit flush initially and took a lot of fiddling and filing before it did. I quickly realized the throat plate wouldn’t work for me anyway because I do a lot of bevel cuts, and having to uninstall/reinstall the throat plate every time would be more hassle than it’s worth. I wish there was an option to specify if you want the Gen 1 or Gen 2 throat plate; Gen 1 with its easily removable insert would have been much better for me.
And just fyi for anyone with a DW713, I also tested the Compact 90-Degree Elbow on mine and it fits fine.

Unfortunately, the item you ordered was for the DeWALT DWS716, not the DW713, which may be why you experienced installation issues. The Gen 1 plates can still be purchased as 3D printable files that you can print yourself, but we do not manufacture them anymore. It's worth noting, however, that while they do have replaceable inserts you still cannot use them for bevel cuts. They would still only be available for the DW716 or DWS716 though, not the DW713.

The kit helped control dust in my small basement shop. Wish I purchased sooner. A small amount of sanding was required for the zero clearance plate to fit

I literally bought the dewalt miter saw just to have it with this attachment for dust collection. The dust collection is obviously not perfect but it is significant. I have not experienced a cleaner miter saw set up.
Also they shipped this out very fast and in a sturdy box so the items were not damaged.
